CR THURMAN is committed to the highest standards of quality in every home we build. Each custom home is constructed to meet the homeowner’s personal needs and preferences. The following list is intended to provide you with our minimum standards for construction. Keep in mind, when building a custom home, you have the final say when it comes to quality and standards.

CR Thurman Homes - Building Process

Foundation

It all begins with a good foundation that is why we have all of ours engineered. Then we build the slab using a post tension system, because we believe that system provides the greatest strength and is least likely to shift compared to other rebar systems.

FramING

During the framing process we use open web trusses and inch and an eighth plywood for all second floors. This provides you with the most durable and dependable floor system. We also use anchor bolts on all of our bottom plates.

Insulation

Radiant barrier decking is used on all of our roofs as well as we blow in cellulose wall insulation which provide better R value than batt insulation. We then blow in attic insulation of an R 31 value. All of the cracks and crevices around pipes and wiring are sealed with and expandable poly-cell foam.

Wiring

We pre-wire all of our homes for surround sound and for Plasma Tv’s as well as high speed internet. All of the wiring is connected in a central control panel located inside the house. All homes are pre-wired for any home security need.

Energy Efficiency

All windows are vinyl with Low E double paned insulated glass. The use of energy star appliances and highly efficient heating and cooling systems help keep energy bills as low as possible.
